The rooms at Ryokan Tsuchiya have tatami flooring and it really adds to the traditional Japanese feel. As someone with physical handicaps, it was a nice change from the usual hard floors and it felt cozy and comfortable.

The only thing I didn't particularly like was the soundproofing in the twin room. As someone who values peace and quiet, I could hear noises from the neighboring rooms at times.

The new building and rooms are beautifully decorated in traditional Japanese style. The view from the window overlooking the street is perfect. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The location is fantastic, right next to Mandara-yu, Kono-yu, and Goshono-yu onsens, as well as the mountains. Additionally, it's conveniently close to the train station.

i loved the room, the bed was exceptionally comfortable. there was a spacious bathroom with hair dryers, a bidet and bath sheets. the folks were affable and exceptionally friendly. the service was good, totally satisfied. location: the hotel was very close to mandara-yu, kono-yu and goshono-yu onsen, and shops. ate at sumibikushiyaki fuji, it's relatively near the venue.

The place was fabulous, with bright rooms and pretty friendly staff. My room included climate control, multi-channel TV, and a refrigerator. The food in the café was excellent.

Modern facilities, good size rooms, highest quality amenities, kind & responsive owners, free guidance available.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel. The hotel had great facilities including a comfortable room and a nice hot spring bath. Additionally, the staff was welcoming and provided excellent service. The location was perfect, with easy access to transportation and good restaurants. The breakfast was delicious and well-prepared.

The Utsuroi Tsuchiya Annex in Toyooka is a stunning hotel with a unique and beautiful architectural style. Its location is incredibly convenient and easy to access. One of the best features is the availability of free parking. Additionally, there are numerous restaurants nearby, such as sanpou nishimuraya honten, which is just a short 5-minute walk away.

The hotel has spacious and modern rooms. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food quality is great. The location is excellent, close to shops, onsens, the cable car, dining options, and the tourist center. Also, it's just a 10-minute walk from Kinosaki Art Museum. My experience there was fairly nice.

Spent Christmas in a lovely ryokan, with great Japanese hospitality. the private onsen in our room was a true delight, perfect for a relaxing soak after a day of exploring the area. the location is very convenient for accessing some of the best onsens in the town, and just a few steps away from the ropeway. the traditional Japanese yukata provided was both comfortable and warm, perfect for the winter season.

The only thing I could mention is that the ryokan is a bit of a walk from the train station, but that's not really an issue as there is a free shuttle bus available. it was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend this ryokan for anyone looking for an authentic onsen experience.

I had a wonderful stay at a ryokan in Toyooka. The rooms were large and comfortable, and the traditional Japanese yukata provided added to the authentic experience. The location was perfect, with easy access to the bathhouses and the ropeway for sightseeing. The owner's mother was so charming and her efforts to communicate with us in English were adorable. The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend this ryokan for a traditional onsen experience in Toyooka.

During our city break, we found this modern Japanese ryokan to be a delightful experience. The room was spacious and beautifully designed, with a traditional twist and a high-tech toilet. The included breakfast was delicious and the barista-level coffee was a nice touch. We appreciated that all the public onsens were included in the price, and we enjoyed wearing the traditional yukata and geta sandals provided by the hotel. the friendly owner and staff were always willing to help us with restaurant recommendations and reservations, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The only minor downside was that the hotel did not accept credit cards, which meant we had to withdraw cash before our stay. However, this inconvenience was worth it for the overall experience we had at the ryokan.
